Chetco Medical and Aesthetics strives to meet the goals of our patients to help them look as young and as youthful as they feel. We use state of the art technology like AccuVein ® to deliver treatments effectively with the minimization of downtime, neuromodulators, to decrease wrinkles and dermal fillers for those deeper, stubborn wrinkles. We also offer non-surgical, facelifts with NovaThreads ®.

JItendra Patel, MD

Dr. Jay Patel is board certified in Internal Medicine and Geriatric Medicine. He is proud to have been a practicing physician in the Brookings community since 1987. Dr. Patel treats a broad spectrum of medical diseases such as managing both common and complex illnesses of adolescents, adults and the elderly. Trained in the diagnosis and treatment of cancer, infections and diseases affecting the heart, blood, kidneys, joints and the digestive, respiratory and vascular systems. He is also trained in the essentials of primary care internal medicine, which incorporates an understanding of disease prevention, wellness, substance abuse, mental health and effective treatment of common problems of the eyes, ears, skin, nervous system and reproductive organs.

Palak Patel, MD

Dr. Palak Patel is a board certified internist who grew up in Brookings, Oregon. He attended the University of California San Diego for his undergraduate studies. He completed his medical education at Oregon Health and Sciences University (OHSU) in Portland. At OHSU, he was selected to be part of the Rural Scholars Program.This program targeted medical students who wanted to have a medical career in rural Oregon. He then went on to Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center in New Hampshire to complete his internal medicine training prior to graduating from his geriatric medicine fellowship program at University of Pittsburgh Medical Center in Pennsylvania, one of the top geriatric programs in the country.

His career interests, aside from delivering comprehensive medical care to this community, includes advocating for improvement in rural health and more specifically, rural elders health. Aside from working in an internist, he will be making home visits to the local assisted living communities and nursing homes to maintain the continuity of care.

Viridiana Jefferson, PA-C

Viridiana Jefferson, PA-C is a certified Physician Assistant specializing in Internal Medicine who originates from Chihuahua, Mexico. She graduated from Alderson Broaddus University, located in West Virginia with a master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies. Prior to that, she obtained her Bachelor of Science in Biology. Viridiana holds a keen interest in cardiology and acute care medicine. She is particularly interested in preventative medicine and acute and chronic illness management such as asthma, diabetes, hypertension, neurological, and cardiopulmonary disorders.

In her free time, she enjoys being with friends and family. Her hobbies include hiking, playing tennis, weightlifting and traveling. She is an avid reader and enjoys books ranging from historical fiction, crime , science fiction to poetry. Viridiana is excited to start this new journey at Chetco Medical and Aesthetics and explore the wide variety of landscapes, scenery, food and culture that Oregon has to offer.
