What Are Nova Threads?
Nova Threads are absorbable sutures placed under the facial skin during a thread lift. The threads are made of a synthetic biodegradable material called polydioxanone, or PDO. Having been used in surgeries for years, PDO is considered one of the safest materials to insert into the body.
In addition to PDO filaments, Nova Threads have hypodermic needles which are passed through the skin, parallel to the surface, that leave behind the thread when pulled out. The sutures dissolve over time, allowing collagen to grow in their place.
